"O P E N I N G" is a celebration of social interaction we have during off time, examining ritualistic behavior like singing, storytelling, playing games, documenting, drinking and more. The show brings together works that explore the conceptual and formalistic aspects of festivity. Opening is concerned with confronting and revealing an expectation - a moment of fantasy within an event, when the visual and imaginative work together or against one another. Opening’s reception evening will incorporate theatrical and performative mechanisms of engagement, where intangible social moments become material for exhibition.
